CHSL Exam 2014 Pattern:

Exam Duration: 02 Hours

Part I: General Intelligence – 50 M – 50 Q

Part II: English Language (Basic Knowledge) – 50 M – 50 Q

Part III: Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skills) – 50 M – 50 Q

Part IV: General Awareness – 50 M – 50 Q

Negative Marking: -0.25 Mark

Note: As the standard of Questions is low candidates can easily score good marks in this SSC CHSL 10+2 examinations.

Selection Process:

I.Written Examination

II.Skill test / Typing test

For Data Entry Operator:

Skill Test:

I).Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) key depressions per hour on computer

II).The Data Entry Speed Skill test would be of Qualifying Nature

III).The Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on computer will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of the words/key depressions as per the given passage and also the duration of the said test will be of 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions would be given to each student

For Lower Division Clerks:

Typing Test:

I.Typing test will be conducted in Hindi or English.

II.Candidates while applying for the examination, need to indicate his or her choice for skill test medium in the application form

III.For English Medium – Typing Speed of 35 words per minute

For Hindi Medium – Typing Speed of 30 Words per minute

35 WPM Corresponds to 10500 Key depressions per hour

30 WPM Corresponds to 9000 Key depressions per hour

Note: Candidates are requested to revert back for SSC CHSL 10+2 LDC, DEO Question paper 02nd November 2014 and 09th November 2014 Answer Keys.
