GATE 2015 Organizing Institute: IIT Kanpur

Name of the Examination: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

Exam will be held in the year: 2015

Important Dates:

Commencement of GATE 2015 online application processing: 1st Sep, 2014

Last date of receiving online application: 1st Oct, 2014

Last date for request for change in the choice of Examination City via GOAPS Login:  21st November,2014 

Closing date of request for changing city: 20th November, 2014

Hall tickets download using Interface: 17th December, 2014

Exam timings:

i).Forenoon: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

ii).Afternoon: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Educational Qualification:

A).Candidates from B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm is eligible for GATE 2015 exam

B).Candidates with B.S (Bachelor Degree in Science)/M.A/M.C.A/M.Sc/M.Tech/M.E in corresponding disciplines or eligible

C).Already qualified or currently final year candidates by 2015 are eligible for GATE 2015 exam

D).Candidates need to submit Certificate from principal (Expected to complete in 2015)

Application Fee:

i).For General/OBC/Male Candidates – Rs.1500/-

ii).For Women Candidates – Rs.750/-

iii).For General & OBC other candidates – Rs.1500/-

iv).SC/ST/PD Candidates – Rs.750/-

Type of Test: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Total Number of Questions: 65 Q (55Q from Technical Section + 10Q from General Aptitude)

Total Marks of GATE Exam: 100M

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
